These are previews from matches involving Belgian Teams with all the latest on team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles, ...
Not the start I had hoped for yesterday as Anderlecht was absolutely nowhere with everything pointing toward them having another really difficult season. These first weeks tend to provide a good opportunity to get in bets for week 2 already on bookmakers that have odds available as the Asians when they release tend to be much sharper. So I already took a couple of crypto bets opposing Anderlecht next week. 3 Matches today compared to 4 last season which is better as each of them can be watched seperately.
Eupen vs Westerlo
Eupen usually starts the season as one of the main relegation candidates and this is no different this year. They lost 3 key players in Peeters, Prevljak, & N'Dri. Their biggest enforcement in the offense Bialek on top picked up a long-term injury. Westerlo currently looks weaker compared to last season but they recently did some good transfers spending quite some money and looking to also get Reynolds back. Frigan and Stassin who are already with the team likely will start on the bench. So Westerlo should be good for the season fighting in the upper midfield or even be a reveletion while it's hard to see much from Eupen aside from a relegation battle. One of the relmarkable statistics of Westerlo last season was that there was a huge divergence in totals home compared to away. The home matches were wild resulting in a +33.06% ROI when blindly betting the closing over line while away matches did the opposite going +31.88% ROI when blindly betting all the unders. With a decreased offensive quality especially from Eupen combined with the home/away total divergence of Westerlo last season, I took 0.16 units each on
Under 2.75 @ 1.883 / 0.12 units on
1st Half Under 1 @ 2.111 / 0.12 units on
Eupen Team Total Under 1 @ 2.060 for a total of 0.4 units.
Charleroi vs OH Leuven
Charleroi is more or less the same compared to last season with Mazzu as their coach so what can be expected is a team that mainly breaks down their opponent and sneaks one in on the counter when they win often doing so with just 1 goal. OHL right now looks like a team that is a bit weakened as they lost De Norre, Patril, Gonzalez, & Al Tamari but still with enough quality to potentially have a good season even though their coach was not happy with the condition of the new players and they are still looking for a new striker. I still see Charleroi as an Under team and their over stats at home mostly come from before Mazzu became their coach again. 0.4 units on
Under 3 @ 1.807 is what I took on this match.
RWDM vs Racing Genk
RWDM is the promoted team and they aren't having the best situation right now as the coach and the entire staff was replaced 3 days before the start of the season by owner John Textor who also is the majority owner of Olympique Lyon, Crystal Palace, and Botafogo. So potentially there is money but right now it kind of feels like a mess and I have no real clue what to expect from this team. Racing Genk seems ready but didn't get further than a 1-1 draw away against Servette where afterward was communicated that there was a virus going around in the team with many midfielers being sick but still playing. Everyone is healed again but it hardly is an optimal situation also because the qualifier match next week is really important. So while my only option is to back Genk at the price around evens, I will for now wait it out and see how the match plays out also because I have no idea if the pitch will be a negative factor.
