The match yesterday kind of played out as anticipated with more goals in the 1st half yet I still managed to lose a bit betting on the Live Under in the hope for Antwerp to slow down as they usually do. Bad defense from Kortrijk with everything going in for Antwerp however made for a small -0.17 unit loss. I'm still far away from a good form so I will continue to take it slow for now. 3 games on Saturday...
RWDM vs Kv Mechelen
RWDM so far has been a positive surprise as they performed quite well in both of their matches and are willing to play forward. This however is already picked up by the betting market as there was a big move last week on them as the underdog away against OHL and the total line today is set at 3 goals. Kv Mechelen had 2 matches against top teams to start taking 1 on 6 with a point against Club Brugge and didn't look as bad as I expected but I still don't consider them a good team. I do expect a match where both teams just look for the win and my main lean is on the Mechelen corners handicap and I took just 0.162 units on
Mechelen +1 Corners @ 1.830. I will wait to see what the match itself brings before posibly take some more bets.
Union vs OH Leuven
Both are teams in a opposite flow. Union despite losing many players managed to take 2 wins mostly taking a good start but showing in the 2nd half that they lost quality. This week, 2 more A-Squad players left and it feels like a matter of time before they get in some kind of losing streak. OHL has been in trouble so far narrowly taking a point against 10 players from Charleroi and losing at home against RWDM. They clearly lost some quality while some of their key players are not yet in their best form. The only options for me are to somehow bet on OHL or the under and the question is if I want to take the gamble. Last season OHL played with 5 in defense in this match which had plenty of corners in a match that ended in a deserved 1-0. For now I'm just staying away.
No Pre-Game Bets
Sint-Truiden vs Anderlecht
Sint-Truiden has been an interesting team as they switched from an ultra-defensive style last season to a more forward approach under their new coach. The main issue however remains the lack of actual scoring power and both their matches ended in a 1-0 win. In week 1 this was a distance shot from Koita in minute 85 while in the 2nd week the goal came in minute 56' after which they crawed back. This was against Kortrijk who got crushed yesterday against Antwerp. Anderlecht somehow took the win against Antwerp at home last week after putting up a really bad performance against Union in week 1. Both are teams that are willing to go forward but don't yet seem to score easily and I'm expecting a fun match that can go both ways. Also here,
