Sunday was a long day binge-watching 4 matches in a row. If one thing is for sure it's that all the top teams are struggling at the moment not fining a good form yet. One more match to take a look at for tonight...
Sint-Truiden vs Oostende
Sint-Truiden played a surprisingly good match in the first week but they couldn't really confirm in week 2 in the match against Anderlecht were they got a red card and where important player Steve De Ridder got injured. Oostende was the better team against Beerschot in week 1 and confirmed in week 2 playing quite a good match against Charleroi. Despite they are left with zero points taking a 1-2 and 1-0 loss in both these matches. Their 2 main issues are that they (just like many teams in the league) have a hard time to actually score and they always at some point get avoidable goals against. For as far as betting goes, Stvv traditionally is a good home team vs the asian handicap. Betting them at home blindly all season long in previous years resulted in +26.25% ROI (2019-2020) | +30.3% ROI | +1.73% | +17.40% ROI | -22.43% ROI (2015-2016) since they got back in 1st the league. Playing on an artificial pitch certainly is a big factor. When taking a closer look these handicap covers last season mostly came against top teams. Matches against non-top-teams resulted in 3W-3L-2D, remarkable are the corners matchup on which they only win twice with overall numbers of 37-43. I kind of like Oostende for this match but the lines clearly have been adjusted to the fact that there are no fans in the stadiums. Oostende managed to create 19 corners in the 2 matches combined so farvs 7 for Oostende which made me take a small-medium position on
Oostende Corners +1.25 @ 1.85 and
Oostende 1st Half Corners +0.5 @ 1.930. I'm currently still thinking about putting a small bet on Oostende +0.25 @ 2.00 but will likely wait it out to see how the match plays out live.
