A Canadian company Carbon Engineering owned by several investors, including Bil Gates (congratulations to everyone for a good job) managed to make a revolutionary job:

they are developed the "AIR TO FUELS" technology, which in combined with Direct Air Capture technology managed to isolate CO2 from the atmospheric air (the most important greenhouse gas), clean it and prepare it as "compressed CO2".

After Further, it can be used as ordinary CO2 in a pressure vessel or as a feedstock for the production of liquid fuels (gasoline, diesel or Jet - A).

So far the problem was in price:
$ 600 per ton for removing CO2 from the atmosphere using DAC technology,
it was too expensive to be a viable solution for removing the inherited carbon on the ladder, "said David Keith, Harvard professor and founder of Carbon Energy.

"Now we have data and engineering to prove that DAC can achieve costs below $ 100 per tonne."
Our DAC technology has been proven and is now being scaled up into commercial markets. Individual DAC facilities can be built to capture one million tons of CO₂ per year each, which is equivalent to the annual emissions of 250,000 average cars.

AIR TO FUELS™ technology combines our Direct Air Capture (DAC) technology with water electrolysis and fuels synthesis to produce liquid hydrocarbon fuels.

This process combines several quickly-evolving technologies, and has three major steps.

First, our DAC process captures and purifies CO₂ from atmospheric air.

Third, the CO₂ and hydrogen are thermo-catalytically reacted to produce syngas, and reacted again to produce hydrocarbons.

In principle, a wide variety of hydrocarbons can be generated, but our focus is predominantly on diesel and jet fuel- says in Carbon Engineerings.

Also, AIR TO FUELS ™ fuels are more fuel-efficient than fossil fuels, without sulfur and low particles, which not only reduces greenhouse gas emissions but also air pollution.
CE’s engineering work, with data from leading Electrolyzer and Fuel Synthesis developers, shows that AIR TO FUELS™ technology can produce fuels for less than $1.00 /L once scaled up.

• Fuel production is cleaner than fossil fuels.

• The use of clean (eco) energy in the technologies of cleaning the atmosphere (sun, wind).

• It does not use large areas of land as with biofuel production.
