Facebook Is Going To Reverse Cryptocurrency Ads Ban

in news •  7 years ago

Finally, some good news back in crypto space. Facebook is going to reverse its cryptocurrency ads ban sooner than it was expected.

Facebook banned all the cryptocurrency ads along with ICO's on its platform. Several other social media followed Facebook's footsteps including Twitter. But finally, Facebook has lifted its crypto ban and now some pre-approved advertisers can promote their cryptocurrency project/business without any further inconvenience.

Back in January 2018, Facebook came up with crypto ads banning decision right at the moment when market was surging exponentially and this news acted as a catalyst to bring crypto price lower. Facebook called cryptocurrencies misleading and sometimes deceptive.

As per this source, Cryptocurrency advertisers now approach Facebook for crypto ads with some pre-conditions:

Advertisers that are approved by Facebook through an application process can promote crypto products, though ads promoting binary options and ICOs, initial coin offerings, are still banned. Interested advertisers may have to show Facebook “licenses they have obtained, whether they are traded on a public stock exchange, and other relevant public background on their business” in order to receive permission to run crypto ads.

Although, the ICO's related ban are still there and only the already existing cryptocurrency project's ads are allowed on Facebook.

Now, let's see how this news will affect the market. Can it act again as a catalyst to push the crypto price up?

Let's hope for the best.

I wonder if Facebook is hedging its bets and is investing heavily in block chain technology?

They're officially utilizing Blockchain technology.

It's time farcebook joined the blockchain market and rewarded their users for their content they spend on that site, which is becoming more desolate each year.

For sure, it'll help the crypto space to a large extent.

the company has made billions i suspect since the day they went officially live.. any user can create a similar site and get unlimited space and charge nothing to join.. something has to change..
