Student Shooter Killed His Parents in Central Michigan University

At least two people have been killed this Friday following the shooting of an individual at a Central Michigan University student Residence (CMU), in the town of Mount Pleasant, in that state of the United States, as confirmed by the Police of the school itself.

The suspect, identified as a young black student named James Eric Davis, Jr., continues to escape and the victims are his parents, according to local media information.

Meanwhile, the police are facing the situation and the area is closed in the midst of a panic and when it has been a little more than two weeks of the tragic shooting at a Florida institute. The CMU police ensure that the two dead are not students and believe that the incident was triggered from a ' domestic situation '. He did not provide more details on the victims, although local media claim that the victims are the parents of the perpetrator of the shooting.

The police indicate that there are no other wounded and that the suspect remains loose.

A sophomore student, Gina O'Neil, said she was feeling frightened and continually writing messages to her family. According to statements collected by a CBS station, she thought she saw the suspect at some point across the street. "It's hopeless, because many of my friends are on campus right now and many live in the dorms and are in the library."

An alert sent to students at the Central University of Michigan warned early in the morning by the university reported that shots had been fired and asked students to seek shelter.

The message, through a voicemail, indicated that it had occurred on the fourth floor of a campus student residence known as Campbell Hall and that the police are responding to the shooter. Students were asked to leave the area clear and find a place to shelter.

In the same way, a message on the Facebook page of the university hung at 9.30, local time, indicated that the suspect has not yet been captured, insists on the Council to seek refuge and warn the number of emergencies 911 in case that something suspicious is warned.

The university campus and a large part of the surrounding area is closed and the school is asked to avoid the area.

According to the university on its website, the person who is wanted is James Eric Davis, Jr., a black male of about 19 years of age, 1.78 meters high and 61 kilos of weight.

The Michigan state police reports through Twitter that the facts have been summoned to air, canine and emergency means.
