Hi everyone!
If some of you were hanging around the center of Prague two days ago, they might have seen a very unusual spectacle - the Petrin Lookout Tower, one of the most iconic architectural landmarks of the city, was lit up with colors of the French national flag.

The reason is obvious, the city authorities wanted to pay honor to the Notre Dame Cathedral that was destroyed by a devastating fire just three days ago.
The Prague mayor Zdenek Hrib said that his city really sympathizes with Paris since Prague has already experienced a similar tragedy - in 1881, the National Theater, one of the cultural and historical symbols of the country, caught on fire that largely destroyed the building. The theater was reconstructed and reopened two years later.
