@davidpakman - Do you think there's any basic defense of a foreign power (*cough* Russia *cough*) here at Steemit with respect fake news, like what happened in the 2016 elections? Or do you think we're just as vulnerable now as we were then - or maybe even moreso that upclicks of fake news will actually be generating money for additional propaganda?
Our only saving grace right now is the fact that these guys are a bunch of total idiots. If there was someone even halfway competent in power, we would be doomed.

Are you saying that this fake was expired by Steemians or that we'll have better standard of reporting and truth on Steem? Sadly in many areas complete bullshit is still been widely rewarded on Steemit, I see it all the time with fake Alex Jones style "science", fake remedies, consist theories etc. Maybe not so much on the political spectrum yet - but that's mostly because many of the shallow state have not yet discovered us and thankfully our whales don't seem to be that pro Trump or pro anything except libertarian agendas.
