Because I discovered Steemit, I now laugh more at hate mail like this one

in news •  7 years ago  (edited)

This is the type of thing I get all the time, and while I never put TOO MUCH stock into it, pre-Steemit I did worry more about how devoted and determined haters like this one could really find ways to impact my program.

Having been turned onto Steemit by members of my audience, I know can laugh more at hate mail like this, since Steemit is designed to prevent EXACTLY this type of person from taking me down.

Did you actually worry about being taken down by morons?

Even morons, if determined, can find ways to really mess with you in my business

On Youtube its entirely possible.

I was going to say that. I agree with you

you may be surprised how many youtube channel have been flagged and taken down by morons.

I am not so familiar with steemit, I am happy to learn new things, get acquainted with new people around the world, even though I have not mastered the language, but I am happy to be able to relate the translation from google, and try to understand what is being discussed in steemit media, thanks for steemit friends hopefully i can be a good friend for all.

I never thought Steemit would be platform where trolls would come out to play too, but apparently they do! Sorry to hear you and a few others are having to go through this sort of interaction especially being that all posts are kept on the Steemit blockchain.

Keep doing what you're doing, you have a lot of supporters who believe in your message such as myself!

I have watched a ton of your interviews and they have helped me to better understand some of the concepts presented on Steemit and elsewhere, and I thank you for your time, effort and work!

yeah, certainly no shortage of trolls all over. Thanks very much, really appreciate the kind words!

Not only to you @davidpakman, Steemit has done a lot of good to most people if not all more than what we actually envisaged, and good to hear another testimony of "laugh via steemit" from you again, this boast our morals as newbies and we know the sky is our starting point in Steemit. Well-done , I always enjoy your clips

Good post, greetings.. Please vote @Munawarkhalid

Excellent post, interesting video. Godspeed!

I'm glad we have Yo!Tube! I mean... DTube!

Ugh, the words "Trump" and "libble" in the same sentence. As David would say "Take the children out of the room."

I love how light you made of the mail, even turning it into a positive thing. That just suits some things of this type.

Haters hate, nothing you can do about it. Personally I like to humor them. Agree with everything they say, they'll be totally caught off guard ;)

please follow me

Glad to see you here as well. The more the merrier.

Nice post

The more experience we gain in these networks, the better we are prepared for such situations. You reacted pretty smart! Humor is always a good choice :-)

Last summer someone in the Steem community told me that I only got my reputation in the network because I frequently showed up in a bikini (on my surfboard). Since it was the very first time ever someone tried to take me down and it even came from a person I had been trusting so far, that moment really affected me. I should have stayed relaxed knowing that all he said was the fruit of envy and nothing about his words were true, but I got emotional instead.

I started to mistrust everybody and even considered leaving the network, can you imagine? Fortunately, after publishing my official good-bye post there were many users trying to convince me not to leave. That gave me a huge boost of self-confidence again. So after taking a couple of weeks of a "creative break" I reconsidered my decision and came back - with a mindset that was stronger than ever.

We need to make these experiences in order to learn how to deal with them. Social media is a quite tough terrain when it comes to trolling. I'd say it's much harder than in real life. People feel safe behind their avatars and tell you things they'd never dare to mention looking you into your eyes.

If someone tried to attack me now, I wouldn't even ignore him. These type of people are just transparent for me.

Thanks for reminding us on how important it is to stay cool and just laugh about them :-)
Steem on!

I really love the way you took his criticisms like;

it's one of those things one faces in life.

That's STRENGTH!!!

Your eyebrows look fine. 😆 This was a lot of fun to watch!
