A 5.3 Magnitude earthquake was recorded at Afton ,Wyoming about 8 pm Eastern Time US. This is the largest quake of a current quake storm of 21 that have happened in the past 24 hours. In the past year, the area has only had 42 quakes.

UPDATE : a 4.3 Magnitude earthquake for the same area at about 10:30 pm, followed by several other lower level ones.

This location is located near the Yellowstone Caldera which has been experience a very large quake swarm this year. It is being reported that the swarm is up to 2,300 tremors since it began in June 2017.

I couldn't make a recording of it, but it looks like the wind and energy seem to be flowing into the earthquake area on the
NullSchool Map. Very strange.

I guess we will find out more tomorrow.

Thanks !

Thanks for the heads up! Have fam over that way :/

I'm not sure if this is of extreme concern, but the number of quakes for the spot seems to be increasing dramatically.

If that area was to get more active could be a possibility of some destruction. What type of volcanic eruption are we talking about. Maybe that is just speculation but who knows for sure.

I don't know. It is on the edge of the Yellowstone's caldera.
This morning the 24 hour count of quakes M1.5 or greater is up to 43.

I have been told that smaller quakes relieve pressure of a possible larger quake, so this might be a good thing, so the super caldera doesn't blow.

Hopefully that is the case.

It is important to be alert to the snoring of this sleeping giant. I used to watch a YouTube channel that monitor the levels of gases, temperatures and earthquakes and the temperature graphs it showed were a big increase since 2015.
Very interesting the air flowing towards the seismic zone.
