Coca-Cola Brazil distributed on Wednesday (29), for employees of the company's headquarters in Rio de Janeiro, Coca-Cola cans with Fanta Orange inside and with the stamp "É Fanta e daí" (it is a Fanta, so what?).

The action appropriated a homophobic pun to pass on a message to combat prejudice and pay homage to LGBT + International Pride Day.

"We have created a special can to recognize who ignores labels, defies prejudices and assumes who they really are." This Coca is pride, this Coca is Respect, this Coca is Fanta, "the company said in a statement.

"We believe that actions like this generate pride and empathy and help in the positive culture of our day-to-day life," said Marina Peixoto, Coca-Cola Brazil's communications director.

According to Coca-Cola, the special edition of cans is not for sale and the product was placed only in the refrigerators of the thirteen floors of the company's headquarters in Botafogo (RJ).

Good response from the director of coca cola brazil, we should be able to respect each other's choices

Totally agree. And I don't believe that sexuality is properly a choice, it is a part of the personality of the individual. And we do not choose who we are.
