Strange gelatinous creatures have been washing up on the shores of Northern California and Oregon. Pyrosomes, also referred to as “sea pickles” or “fire bodies,” are made up of multicellular creatures called zooids.
The reason why this is strange is because they are normally found in tropical waters. Leading scientist to believe that their presence may be a result of rising water temperatures. National Geographic stated that one research net pulled up around 60,000 of the pyrosomes within a five minute window. No studies have been conducted to determine the rise in their numbers in the Pacific Northwest.
OMG! Wow! that is so interesting! I up-voted and would appreciate if you just visited my wall.

Man, I can't imagine how much sea life is being effected by climate issues. But I gotta say I have never seen anything like this before. Almost look alien if you ask me and I'm sure everyone must be having that same reaction.
