Fourteen days after Mari Carmen appeared dead with two shots on her head, the police worked tirelessly to try to narrow the siege to the material and intellectual artifice of this murder.
It is known that she did not see her murderer before being shot from the left side of the vehicle, as she sat in her Porsche's driver's seat and did not give her time to start the car, or close the vehicle door.
One surprising detail is how this 72-year-old woman, after being shot twice in the head, still had the strength and courage to get up of the seat, get out of the car, most likely see her killer, wobble to the trunk and finally falling on the floor while babbling a few words.
It is known that the SAMU, the Local Police and the National Police came within a few minutes of the events that took place and nothing could be done to reanimate the woman.
112 was alerted by the Novocar workers (the family-owned concessionaire where the events took place) and Mari Carmen's son-in-law, who was in charge of the concessionaire, was not at the moment in the establishment because he had finished his working day a while, and he appeared in a few minutes there before the crime's notice.
Given the lack of evidence and eyewitnesses, the police are delving into public records, business and banking documents of the deceased as well as mobile phone repeaters, looking for some type of clue in the form of a message or call.
The Court of Instruction nº7 of Alicante, which takes the case, has declared the secret of summary in the investigations to avoid any kind of leakage that could hinder the already arduous task of clarifying this mysterious crime.
