Bad headlines: I would have been fired for this

When i was in college I was really trying very hard to be an editor. I wanted that job more than anything else. I got the job with my college but never progressed beyond it. I am thankful now that this didn't happen but at the time I did get a job it was just an unpaid internship where I think i did a really good job. In the 18 months that I worked there I never had a mistake like the ones below and these mistakes were made by people that were presumably were being paid.

There is nothing grammatically wrong with this one but it was just a poor choice of words and should have been caught. It was not caught though and it went to press and is probably on the wall, framed, in certain people's houses. I know it would be on mine if i had a real copy of it.

This again, isn't bad but it still shouldn't have been done.... although I will say that I believe that in this particular situation i think it was likely done on purpose. They might have actually intentionally been going for the tongue-in-cheek reaction that they almost certainly achieved. I'm relatively certain that those prostitutes did, in fact, get screwed.

It's a short one tonight. Or a midget one depending on how you want to look at it but it doesn't change the fact that the reporters and the editors of these publications got a job and I didn't. Therefore I like to look back at them and laugh.
