Buzzfeed accuses The Babylon Bee of spreading conspiracy theories

This story goes back a little while but it kind of showcases how little thought Buzzfeed actually puts into what they write. I consider Buzzfeed to be beyond trash and not even fakenews, they are just an organization of the lowest order, who I consider to be one of the worst purveyors of lies on the internet that unfortunately a lot of people actually believe.

It was a few years ago, back when BuzzFeed would write 27 anti-Trump articles per day and then on occasion, just to mix up the monotony would throw a story about something else in there to, I dunno, let everyone calm down from their persistent Trump Derangement for just a couple hundred words or so.

In their laughable article that just shows that they are completely oblivious to the world outside of their New York City office's walls these words appeared in the article.

Christian website The Babylon Bee has accused fact-checking site Snopes.com of trying “to discredit and deplatform us.” That accusation added fuel to the larger narrative that fact-checking websites are targeting conservatives in an effort to de-platform right-wing publishers.

I don't know of the Babylon Bee is a Christian website or not but i do know something that anyone who isn't getting on the internet for the very first time in the past week, that the Babylon Bee is a satire site and it is painfully obvious that this is the case. While their articles are based on current events they are quite obviously a piss-take on the news with stories such as

  • Tetris introduces first first transgender piece
  • Trump gets back on social media by disguising himself as a member of the Taliban
  • AOC Goes To Afghanistan To Warn Refugees Not To Come To Oppressive Racist America
  • Biden Wishing There Was Something The President Could Have Done To Prevent This Tragedy

While the Babylon Bee definitely does have a conservative edge to it, it is obviously satire and you don't need a degree in journalism a degree in anything, or really even a fully functioning brain to figure this out. However, Ryan Broderick at BuzzFeed was apparently unable to figure this out but then again, he works for BuzzFeed so his limited understanding of most things shouldn't come as much of a surprise to anyone.

BuzzFeed exists only to attack anything that is conservative even if that conservative thing just happens to be a satire website that everyone knows is a satire website.

It is worth noting that Ryan Broderick was later fired by BuzzFeed for plagiarism for lifting entire paragraphs from Washington Post, the New York Times, the Huffington Post and AP without citing them.... All of these are left-leaning dumpster fires for the most part anyway, they just have more funding than BuzzFeed... with any luck all of them are hemorrhaging money and will slowly (or maybe quickly if we are lucky) fade away into obscurity. That is what you get for get for being....

BuzzFeed is still a thing? I thought that died out long ago but then again, I don't use Facebook anymore and that was the only place i ever saw a BF posting.

Full upvote for abandoning Facebook, @beelzebubba :)

BuzzFeed is hanging on by a thread, but much like every institution that went all in on the Trump bashing they have lost a great deal of their customer-base. With any luck they will close up shop soon and then we will only have 317,000 purveyors of garbage clickbait news remaining in the US!
