There are some pretty awful sources of extremely biased "news" out there but if we are looking at the shit totem pole of news sources The Young Turks would be right up there on the top of it. The sad thing is that tens of millions of people tune in to their drivel every week and this is probably why people get so worked up over politics and especially tend to stick to only one side of any story - because places like TYT don't have any objectivity and merely immediately side with something along party lines. Like a lot of garbage new sources out there, they rose to relevance because they were basically an anti-Trump feeder pool for the masses.
I do not follow them but on occasion I will pop in to see what sort of nonsense they are spouting now.

When you think of TYT you probably think of Cenk Uygur and Anna Kasparian and how they get extremely emotional about any partisan talking point that they ever talk about. It was funny to me back in 2016 when the absolutely melted down and freaked out over Trump gradually getting closer and closer to the finish line in that election. I bet they were the opposite way in 2020. I didn't watch it, I don't care.
These guys will always choose the liberal side of any issue, regardless of the facts surrounding the case. Recently, and for reasons that are not know nor do I care enough to look, Anna actually issued and apology or retraction of sorts over the aggressive way in which they demonized Kyle Rittenhouse over the past year or so.

The information and video for the most part was available to the public the day after it happened where Kyle shot and killed 2 people and injured another. There is video of him trying to turn himself into police right after the incident as well but the police were not interested.
The video to anyone that was being objective showed that Kyle was under attack and defended himself. The reason why he is in court now has everything to do with politics and nothing to do with justice. There is really not a great deal of new information that was just dropped other than are careful analysis of the video and testimony of the person that Kyle shot but did not kill and how when he approached Kyle he actually had his own firearm pointed at Kyle and that was when Kyle shot him.
The Young Turks had access to this information just like anyone else did but instead of analyze it objectively they presumed his guilt because he has a differing political standpoint than they do. He was guilty in their minds not because that is what the video showed, but because of the fact that Rittenhouse is a conservative.
Even when the trial first started they were staunchly dedicated to his guilt and at that point they had a year to try to figure out what really happened.

It wasn't until the guy that Rittenhouse shot in the arm got on the stand and under oath admitted that he had approached Kyle with his gun pointed at him that TYT finally started to admit that they might be wrong about this. Kyle's claims of self-defense is something that any of us that actually bothered to watch the videos already knew a while ago. He was attacked by multiple people and there was no objective way to argue this if you bothered to watch the videos.

Recently, I want to say it was on the 10th of November, Anna went on their usual liberal rant only to change gears and issue an apology of sorts because it is only now that she can see what most rational people already saw quite some time ago. That Kyle was not in the wrong and that is life was in danger at the time.
There is some chatter online about how they are only doing this because they are afraid they are going to get sued if they don't but I don't think that sort of thing applies to opinion pieces, which is all that TYT ever does anyway. I don't know and I also don't care what prompted them to do this but... better late than never I guess!
At the end of the day even with this one admission of fault The Young Turks is an absolutely garbage source of news and they and anyone that actually goes to them for "information" are....
