The recent uprisings in Iran seem to be something of a conundrum as western media blames the Iranian Government and who says that they're incompetent leaders and the Iranians say that the western powers are meddling in the domestic affairs of Iran and essentially it's a security situation that will be solved.

Ugly, ignorant words were spoken by the US president against the Iranian nation. Full or hatred & baseless allegations and unfit for #UNGA

Such respect for the people of Iran as they try to take back their corrupt government. You will see great support from the United States at the appropriate time!

The Iranian regime tries desperately to sow hate between Iranians and Israelis. They won't succeed. When this regime finally falls – and one day it will – Iranians and Israelis will be great friends once again. I wish the Iranian people success in their noble quest for freedom. pic.twitter.com/kk8wTYmhnz

Concerning the current situation in #Iran, as President @HassanRouhani has himself said recently, citizens must have the right to express their concerns.
The best way for a country to meet and overcome legitimate challenges is through peaceful means and dialogue.

.@USUN Ambassador Haley: In the end, the Iranian people will determine their own destiny. Let there be no doubt the U.S. stands unapologetically with those in #Iran who seek freedom for themselves, prosperity for their families and dignity for their nation. We will not be quiet. pic.twitter.com/cjvg9rfsW2

It seems like more of the long standing rhetoric that is ongoing between the two countries.

U.N. Security Council planned emergency meeting about Iran after the U.S. asked the world body to show support for Iran's anti-government protesters. With council members divided we will wait to see a peaceful result to this important matter.
