On a subsequent visit after Sophie Cortellino's life-sparing cardiovascular method, Dr. Anna Gelzer was charmed and relatives were soothed to see her reacting so well. Sophie concurred, her tail swaying energetically.  

As the 9-year-old fighter lay on a metal table, Gelzer attempted to push up her pulse as a component of a pressure test following the method in August - a ventricular removal for an arrhythmia, or sporadic heartbeat, the first performed on a pooch in the United States.
