Suspicious Observers: Solar Killshot Erupts from the Sun

in news •  7 years ago

This video from SuspiciousObservers is a special space weather news update. The same sun spot that erupted three times this past week has erupted again releasing a solar killshot at Mercury, Venus, and Mars. Luckily the sun spot was not aimed at Earth.

So what would have happened if it were pointed towards earth?

First there would be satellite, gps, and communications problems within 8-9 minutes. When the CME arrives, then there is the possibility of wide spread power outages and disruption to electronics.

Good question!

Have a great week!

We'd have died. It wasn't a tech killer, it was a organic life killer.

Good thing that our sun loves us. The earth facing quiet has saved us more times than we

Bad science, referring to the flare as a kill shot. Stop validating their fake science. This is the way the sun and earth have worked in concert for eons. S0 is a manipulative tool that is an anti-scientific method that purges all challenges to their false assertions. Instead of testing their preconceptions they only scour science to confirm their beliefs that center around the "climate hoax of AGW" (reminiscent of creationists pseudo science abuse.)

They are a group of sponsored cutouts that present false analysis with hype and scare tactics. suspecious0bservers has more that 16 accounts traceable to a single vpn bank, they manipulate comment section of yt channel, manipulate their stats and generally use NASA, NOAA and USGS public data and animation to validate and sell a false nariative.

great natural phenomena

That is really shocking and terrific at the same time. We really have to think about these incidents very seriously.

If one like that were headed toward earth, the power grid would be at risk.

Need to be vigilant.

Have a great week!

Holy shit that was a big one.

when sunspots fixed what happened ..? I feel the earth will experience the destruction

The whole cosmos thing is so fascinating, we should remember sometimes that we are living on such a tiny planet that we should take care off more. But the ignorance takes over most of the time. And Earth looks so tiny when compared to the sun, and having in mind that our sun is a small one when compered to other giant stars.. it really makes you stop and think for a while...

One of these days there will be a big flare that knocks out a lot of our technology. It's happened before and we're more reliant on the tech now. It's a scary scenario.

Yup. Or at least parts. If you have regions run mostly on fibre networks then you don't have as much to worry about. But most geostationary telecommunications-satellites that we work with are not very well protected against larger solar flares.

So this is something one would have to consider when people get hyped about the idea such as the "Bitcoin satellite service" announced by Blockstream earlier. One ought to be careful when building infrastructures or systems that rely too heavily on these to function 100%.
