Rest in Piece Will Vinton, Animator of One of My Childhood Favorite Films

... and that movie is the Adventures of Mark Twain, released in 1985. This was one of several films that I rented many times from Blockbuster as a kid during the 90s despite the movie having several moments of scaring the hell out of me, including this segment that adapts The Stranger by Mark Twain:

Vinton's animation studio is now known today as Laika Studios-- makers of two favorites of mine; Coraline and Kubo and the Two Strings.
