The investigation of a husband and wife allegedly being a serial killer and a cannibal in Krasnodar, Russia, continues. Allegedly they are looking for prey via matchmaking sites in cyberspace.
The two suspects, Dmitry Baksheev and Natalia Baksheeva, allegedly killed and ate the bodies of a number of victims of serial killings carried out for 18 years. It is feared that one of their prey is a pilot in the military academy, because both work in that place.
"A female suspect said at least 30 people were killed and then eaten with her husband, a psychologist from Nizhny Novgorod was brought in to help with the investigation," said a source in Krasnodar Police.
The Krasnodar Inquiry Committee said authorities found the human body pieces preserved at the couple's home. In the fridge they also stored pieces of alleged human flesh.
A photograph taken in 1999 showed the two posing with pieces of human head placed on a plate, served with fruit.
The case was unintentionally revealed. It all started with the invention of a mobile phone lying on the streets in the southern region of Krasnodar City in early September. The inventor was a construction worker carrying the cell phone to the police station. The police then rummaged through the contents and found some surprising pictures. There is a picture of a man posing with a piece of human hand and some similar images.
Police Krasnodar then find the man is in the photo, and managed to catch him. The wife also brought along. After being examined, initially 35-year-old man was reasoned that his cell phone is missing. However, he argued not to kill anyone and just happened to find the piece of hand, and immediately berswafoto. It's just that the police do not believe and look for that piece of body, and find a piece of hand is believed to belong to a female victim in a jar.
"Said the owner of the phone, the hand that he used for swafoto," said a source in Krasnodar Police, as quoted from page RIA Novosti.
The policeman then moves and finds the remains of a female victim in a bag, not far from the man's house. After being questioned, the man finally confessed that he had killed. However, he just said to kill two people. One was that woman and someone else five years ago. Police remain suspicious and until now only recognize the seven victims. Allegedly, the couple had been in action since 1999.
Unfortunately, the investigation of the case is still very closed. Law enforcement officials were silenced when asked for further confirmation of the case. While the perpetrator and his wife is now languishing in prison.
