Israel has returned fire into the northern Gaza Strip, after a rocket was fired, they believe, from the Palestine into southern Israel. The so called rocket was reported to have caused no injuries or damage.
According to Aljazeera News
"No group has claimed responsibility
for a rocket that was fired into
the southern Israeli city of Sderot."
The Palestinian health ministry have stated "A 17-year-old Palestinian youth suffered a minor shrapnel injury in his foot during Sunday night's attacks".
In a statement from the AFP news agency.
"In response to the rocket attack the Israeli Air Force, along with ground weapons, have targeted two posts in the northern Gaza Strip"
On July 2 last, Israeli air raids hit four areas in Gaza after a rocket struck a building in Israel.
After the "Gaza disengagement" in 2005 where Israel ended its permanent military presence the area had somewhat settled down. However, the area remains heavily occupied as Israel still controls airspace, seafront and all vehicle access of the Gaza strip blocking movement of trade and movement for the almost two million residents in the strip.

In this video from July '14, you can see the same thing again and again where Israel make up a story where they have been bombed (and no one got hurt) and retaliate with an "all guns blazing" approach.
