High Education Commission canceled 19 scientific journals published by the Official Vogue Universities. The journals were canceled due to the publication of fake research papers and non-standard research.
According to details, Higher Education Commission Pakistan canceled 19 science research journals published from various Universities. Scientific journals were canceled due to lack of regulations and standards of HEC. HEC Quality Insurance Cell canceled the journals on a poor quality basis. According to Databases from High Education Commission, two journals of Engineering and Technology, including Pakistan Journal of Hydrocarbon Research and Pakistan Journal of Engineering, Technology and Science have been canceled. Four journals of degree culture sciences, including the Journal of Journal of Research, International Journal of Environment and Applied Sciences, Pakistan Journal of Anatomy, Pakistan Journal of Physio Patrol have also been canceled.
Five journals of Natural Sciences were canceled, including the Pakistan Journal of Statistics, Journal of Statistics, Pakistan Geographical Review, Pakistan Journal of Statistics and Operations Research, Pakistan Journal of Biotechnology and Journal of Science and Technology. Similarly, very low-quality research journals published from various health-related universities were also canceled. Among them, Pakistan Journal of Pathology, Journal of Medical Studies, Journal of Cardio Vascular Disease, Pakistan Orleans and Dental Journal, Journal of University Medical and Dental College, Gomal Journal of Medical Sciences, Pakistan Journal of Neurological Sciences, International Journal of Rehabilitation Networks, Journal of Fatima Jinnah Medical College Lahore, Infrastructure Division of Pakistan and Pakistan Journal of Pharmacology.
According to Higher Education Commission, fake research articles are published in these scientific journals, which are not international and domestic at all. The HEC also prevented teachers and research scholars from sending and publishing their research papers in the journals mentioned above.
