While Gorakhpur has an impressive weight of malady, it is wrong to expect that JE cases are grouped in Gorakhpur area alone. JE plagues are accounted for from many parts of India anyway, it is profoundly endemic in Eastern Uttar Pradesh. Gorakhpur is a nodal point not on the grounds that there are more cases in the area but since the main tertiary care focus with 100 beds devoted to JE is in Gorakhpur. In this way, cases from adjacent locale like Kushinagar and Deoria regions are alluded to there for treatment.
