(Puebla City, Mexico)
Fox News is strongly denying this morning any connection with an undercover reporter who claims he was sent to Mexico to infiltrate an illegal Mexican immigration syndicate that is sending caravans of immigrants from Honduras across Mexico, in order to infiltrate the US.
Edwardo Cinquentes, who CNS has discovered is an intern on Fox News’ most popular show, Hannity, is currently being held in a jail in Puebla City, Mexico. Reportedly, he was pulled from the back of a van containing mostly raucous, drunken spring breakers from UNAM, the Autonomous National University of Mexico. The van was spotted careening through residential areas of this city.
“I thought I was on to them, man,” meaning potential illegal immigrants, Mr. Cinquentes told our reporter from our Mexico City Bureau. “They told me they were headed north to the border. They wanted to go to Vegas.”
When told that this city is actually south of Mexico City, Mr. Cinquentes just shrugged. When asked further, he claimed that he was chosen by Mr. Hannity himself, for this special undercover assignment.
“He asked everybody on the set - ‘do you speak Spanish?’ - I was like - ‘Si’ - so he picked me. But that’s about the only word I know. My grandfather was Mexican, but we never spoke it in our house,” Mr. Cinquentes explained.
Fox News has issued a complete denial of Mr. Cinquentes’ story, and any connection to him. Mr. Hannity could not be reached for comment at the time this story was filed.
