NRA and gun makers the real winners?

in news •  7 years ago

After Sundays tragic and shocking news about the mass shooting in Las Vegas I sat contemplating how horrified I am by the world we live in.

I had recently also rewatched Andreas Antonopoulos second London Real interview in which he talks about how the banks have a history of systemic corruption. He talks about how voting for Trump or Hillary was a vote for "red Goldman Sachs or Blue Goldman Sachs". All this got me thinking even more as I saw an article about how the gun stocks rose 3% after Sundays mass shooting. It all just really made me a bit sick. We live in a world that is so corrupt and nothing we can do can change it, with the inevitable revolving door on all political issues.

I am not American but I know it does not matter whether it was Hillary or Trump, neither of them will do anything about the insane gun laws in America. You know why? Because the NRA is so entrenched in the political game in the States that it is impossible. Obama did nothing and Trump will too do nothing about it. The even more crazy thing for me is Americans still think and I quote "its the person, not the gun." I am not sure when they will wake up to what is going on. Have they seen case example number one: Australia who had lenient guns laws until they had a mass shooting in 1996 and changed the laws, not one mass shooting since.

But anyway, this all ties to my point about systemic corruption or systemic brain washing in this case, you probably can't blame the pro American gun nuts because its how they have been brought up, they can't cant see the forest from the trees. Exact same thing as a lot of bankers (of which some are good people) they have been put into this system that encourages them to take risks etc and they just can't see what they are doing. The list goes on...

Anyway, the only shining light in my depressing thoughts yesterday, was crypto world and how proud, excited and fulfilled I feel to be apart of this, a world where we no longer have to be controlled by the system, where we can have our freedom back. As Andreas Antonopoulos puts it "there are two ways to protest the system, with voice and by exit" and this revolution has given us all the opportunity to not only voice our opinions but more importantly to exit the system, which is exactly what I am doing.

Would love to hear everyone's thoughts.
