Traffic Volume To Crypto Exchanges Hits Second-largest Volume in Three Years
Traffic to cryptocurrency exchanges increased to 344 million people in January 2021, a 75% increase from 200 million in December, for the second time in 3 years. 3 major exchanges experienced this inflow of massive traffic: Binance, Coinbase and Kraken. Changpeng Zhao’s Binance accounts for 28.8% of the traffic, Coinbase took a share of 25.1% of the Crypto market while Kraken took third place with a share of 6.19% of the traffic. 10,000 Bitcoin Traded For Pizza Money Now Worth $470,000,000
Laszlo Hanyecz, a programmer from Florida, traded 10,000 Bitcoin for two pizza delivered from another Bitcoiner on May 22, 2010. Bitcoin price has exploded in over 10 years, specifically last couple of months. After Tesla’s purchase of $1.5 billion in BTC, a single Bitcoin is now worth around $47,000. BNB Hits All-time-High Above $115, 50% Increase In Last 24 Hours
Binance Coin (BNB), the native token of Binance crypto exchange, increased to over $115 for the first time ever, a 50% increase in a single day. This latest increase in BNB price also pushed its market capitalization to $18.26 billion, making it currently the 7th largest cryptocurrency. Oracle Could Be The Next Corporation To Venture Into Bitcoin
Max Keiser revealed that Oracle could be the next corporation to venture into Bitcoin, according to an anonymous source. Following the fact that Tesla’s purchase of $1.5 billion dollar bitcoin opened doors for other large organizations to venture into the crypto asset. Bitwise Files With SEC To Launch ETF For Crypto Innovators
Bitwise hedge fund manager, files with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission to launch an exchange-traded fund (ETF) for crypto innovators, to track the performance of the Bitwise Crypto Innovators Index. The Bitwise Crypto Innovators Index will consist mostly of companies with 75% of their revenue or net assets from the crypto sector or held in cryptocurrency. Brazilian Fund Manager Hashdex Partners With Nasdaq To List ETF
Brazilian fund manager Hashdex partners with American stock exchange Nasdaq to list the Hashdex Nasdaq Crypto Index Exchange-Traded Fund (ETF), on the Bermuda Stock Exchange (BSX). The ETF comprises of Bitcoin (78.61%) and Ethereum (16.86%), with Bitcoin Cash, Chainlink, Litecoin, and Stellar Lumens taking up 0.65% and 1.58% each. Ethereum CME Futures Trading Volume Hits $30 Million in 24 Hours
Ethereum futures Launched on Chicago Mercantile Exchange (CME) Group kicked of trading in a grand style, with more than $30 million in futures contracts traded in 24 hours after the launch on Monday. On the first day of CME ETH trading, contract issuers generated approximately $20 million in open interest, with total trading volume above $30 million. Bitcoin Beats Tesla, Now 7th Largest Asset By Market Cap
Bitcoin’s price surges to new all-time-high of over $48,000 catalyzed by the recent massive purchased of $1.5 billion worth of Bitcoin by Elon Musk’s Tesla, which pushed the market capitalization of Bitcoin upwards. Bitcoin is now the 7th largest asset in the world by market capitalization with $875 billion surpassing that of Tesla which is $811 billion.
