Dubai Government Entity Kiklabb Now Accepts Payments For Licences In Bitcoin

Kiklabb, government-owned entity in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) now accepts payments for licences, visas and office lease in Bitcoin. Tasawar Ulhaq, CEO of Kiklabb, shared that the choice to accept Bitcoin for Payments came from having clients from the blockchain and Fintech industry. Nigeria and South East Asia Led in Crypto Adoption in 2020

Survey by Statista shows that at least one in three respondents to the survey used or owned crypto assets in 2020, making Nigeria the leading country for Bitcoin and cryptocurrency adoption, followed by Southeast Asia. The survey showed that peer-to-peer payments played a role for majority of Nigerians to explore crypto and they are also considering Crypto as a preferred option for cross-border remittances. NVIDIA to Launch Processor for Ethereum Mining

NVIDIA, the computer company known for its chips and graphics cards, has announced a new GPU specifically geared toward mining Ethereum cryptocurrency. Graphics cards like NVIDIA’s are notoriously difficult to get a hold of, in part because they’re so in demand for professional crypto miners. The number of bitcoin whales surges to a new all-time high, with 94,000 BTC addresses holding at least $1 million in bitcoin. British Auction House Christie’s Accepts ETH For Art Auction Payment

Christie’s, British auction house plans to accept ether (ETH) as payment at the upcoming digital art auction, for artwork by digital artist Mike “Beeple” Winkelmann. But, the premium must be paid in U.S. dollars. The artwork being sold is tagged the “EVERYDAYS: THE FIRST 5000 DAYS,” which is a collage of thousands of pieces of art by Beeple. Canton Zug of Switzerland Now Accepts Bitcoin, Ether For Tax Payments

The canton of Zug partners with Bitcoin Suisse in Switzerland for the initiative of accepting bitcoin and ether for tax payments. Bitcoin Suisse will convert residents' BTC and ETH tax payments into Swiss Francs for the Swiss Confederation member state, Canton of Zug. Cardano’s Mary Hard Fork To Launch On March 1 on Mainnet

Cardano releases a date for its Hard Fork Combinator (HFC) event tagged “Mary.” The Cardano network upgrade will hold on March 1, after the HFC has gone through every quality assurance and developer checks on February 24, according to Charles Hoskinson, Cardano founder.
