Robert Kiyosaki seems confident about Bitcoin. The author of âRich Dad, Poor Dadâ and prominent American investor has expressed optimism that Bitcoin is about to make a big move. Although gold has gone up 35% in 2020, and the stock market has seen one of its best years so far, he described Bitcoin as âthe sleeperâ, adding that it is about to become âthe fastest horse.â Bitcoin has already performed quite impressively, returning 42% in Q2 alone. Crypto Exchanges Witnessed 13% Surge In Web Traffic
According to data from crypto analytics startup ICO Analytics, web traffic on global crypto exchanges increased by 13% on average in July 2020. Some crypto exchanges have recorded a more notable monthly increase, with traffic surging over 60% ,as was the case with YoBit.net and KuCoin. Binance, the worldâs largest crypto exchange, reportedly saw 24.9 million visits in July, with traffic surging nearly 10%. Bitcoin Transaction Fees Dropped 58% Last Week
The cost of transacting on the Bitcoin blockchain fell sharply last week. The average fee per transaction in U.S. dollars fell by 58% from the two-month high of $6.47 to $2.72 in the four days to Aug. 9, according to data source Blockchain.com. The sharp drop comes alongside a decline in the size of the memory pool (mempool) â the store of valid transactions waiting to be confirmed on Bitcoin's blockchain. As of Sunday, the mempool had 3,656 unconfirmed transactions, the lowest since July 12, with a total block size of 9.9 MB. Read Full on CoinDesk.
Max Keiser: Capital Flight Out Of Asia Is Taking Bitcoin Higher
Capital flight out of Asia is one of major reasons for Bitcoin (BTC) hitting new 2020 highs in August, a major Bitcoin advocate believes. Bitcoin bull, Max Keiser, is confident that rising tensions in Asia are one of factors for Bitcoinâs rally up to $12,000. Keiser argued that Bitcoin is a solid method to move big amounts of money abroad while crossing borders. Bitcoin Trading Volume Soars In Argentina, Brazil
According to a recent report from analytics firm Arcane Research, Bitcoin has just broken price records in Argentina and Brazil, with growth (in fiat terms) of 169%, 20%, respectively, over the last two months. According to data from metrics site Useful Tulips, Brazil just recorded more than $700,000 in Bitcoin trading volume last week, a new year-to-date high. Mining Company Stocks Are Beating Bitcoin's Gains
Betting against Bitcoin has been a losing battle for months with the crypto up more than 200% since its March lows. Benefiting from this rally, moreover, crypto mining stocks trading on U.S. markets are significantly outperforming the benchmark cryptocurrency. The crypto mining companies â Riot Blockchain and Marathon Patent Group â have gained 97% and over 128%, respectively. Bitcoin is up 3% in the same period. Russia Planning For Blockchain Powered Rail Network
An advisor to Russian Railways, the countryâs national rail operator, praised the rise of blockchain technology and hinted that it could be implemented as part of the countryâs rail network. He commented that blockchain solution allows you to exclude operations for transhipment and storage of goods and to abandon specialized trucks, which cost two to three times more than multi-purpose trucks. Bitcoin Is Worth Much More Than American Dollars
Canada-based amateur Meteorologist Frankie MacDonald is now telling his followers to get on board with Bitcoin. âBitcoin is worth more than the American dollarsâ, MacDonald said in a series of tweets about the crypto. He told his audience how much money they hold if they possess 1 BTC, 10 BTC, 100 BTC, 1,000 BTC, and so on. As of press time, 1 BTC is equal to $11,759.
