Enjin and Aave have announced an update that will bring decentralized finance(DeFi) to the $159.3 billion games market, as Enjin Coin (ENJ) has been added to Aave’s DeFi Protocol. Enjin’s growing suite of blockchain products is already enabling players to earn ENJ in a growing selection of games and apps; now, gamers will be able to grow the value of their in-game ENJ earnings through the Aave Protocol, which has recently grown to $250 million in market size. Binance Pool Poised to Grab More Bitcoin Mining Hash Rate in Russia

Binance is looking to consolidate more bitcoin mining hashrate to its pool in Russia and the Central Asia region. Binance is deploying a physical server node for its pool at BitRiver, the largest bitcoin mining hosting provider in Bratsk, Russia. CEO of BitRiver Igor Runets said in the announcement Binance Pool offers a highly competitive fee structure to institutional-scale miners. 77% of Current ETH Supply Qualified For Staking On ETH 2.0

As the crypto community is anticipating Ethereum 2.0, a large number of Ether holders already have enough ETH for staking on the network. Nearly 80% of total ETH supply is being held by non-crypto exchange wallets exceeding the amount required for staking on Ethereum 2.0, as per the latest “Ethereum 2.0 Economic Review” report. Report revealed 77.7% of the current ETH supply, or about 86.6 million ETH, lives in wallets holding more than 32 ETH the minimum amount required to earn staking rewards on ETH 2.0. After Twitter hack, mentions of cryptocurrencies on social media skyrocketed. As per data crypto analytics company LunarCrush. The overall social engagement for Bitcoin risen by 889.2% within 24 hours on July 15 to July 16, with LunarCrush’s data registering over 3.8 billion posts, comments, retweets, and likes across all social media channels. The Twitter hack turned out to be an overall positive event for Bitcoin. It seems that the only outcome for Bitcoin was a turbo-charged increase in awareness in the mainstream media. Spanish Banks Settles Payments Using Smart Contracts

Multinational banking giant Banco Santander along with Banco Sabadell, BBVA, Bankia and Caixabank have successfully finalized a proof-of-concept for payments using smart contracts. The average processing time per completed payment was reportedly 2.5 seconds. The PoC was coordinated with IberPay, the company that oversees the Spanish Payment System. IberPay said the PoC had “confirmed the feasibility of applying blockchain technology to the field of payments" and its successful connection to the national payment system. Americans Searching For “Bitcoin” Consistently Increasing on Google Trends

The hourly data from Google Trends shows that US-based searches for “Bitcoin” have consistently peaked around 1 AM Eastern time for the past week. Out of 50 states, California is the most search-happy at this hour, possibly because 1 AM Eastern represents just 10 PM local time on the west coast. Plenty of reasonable browsing time left in the evening. It’s also not surprising that the peak search interest in Bitcoin over the past 30 days coincided with this week’s notorious Twitter hack. Minings of trade provider, Luxor has introduced Hashrate Index, a website featuring data that add some transparency to the Bitcoin mining. Hashrate Index have features an intuitive hash price tracker, a mining rig price index that aggregates more than 4,800 ASIC sales and a curated list of mining collocations. Ethan Vera, the co-founder of Luxor, told that Hashrate Index will allow investors to get more comfortable with the industry and usher in a new era of North American mining investment. Elon Musk Tweets About Dogecoin, Pumps Coin By 14%

Tesla CEO Elon Musk trolled the crypto community once again with a tweet about Dogecoin as DOGE price reacts upward. Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, posted a sarcastic tweet about the meme cryptocurrency Dogecoin (DOGE). He tweeted “it’s inevitable,” with an image showing the “dogecoin standard” dwarfing the global financial system.
