New Draft Bill Reveals Russia Will Treat Crypto As A Taxable Property

Russia changed its draft bill regulating crypto and digital assets. Previously, the country’s lawmakers introduced a version of the law that would make any business issuing or trading crypto using Russia-based infrastructure illegal. The new draft is more neutral. It suggests that crypto is a kind of property that cannot be accepted as a means of payment. Any lawsuits related to the ownership of crypto can only be considered by the courts if plaintiffs report their crypto holdings and deals for tax purposes. Read Full on CoinDesk.

ETH 2.0 Final Testnet Will Be Launched On August 4th

The final testnet before Ethereum 2.0 will be launched on August 4, assuming all conditions are met. Launch organizer Danny Ryan told, After discussions with client teams, the next multi-client testnet (mainnet config including min validator numbers) will have a min genesis time of August 4. He expects the deposit contract and config to be made public in next couple of days. Several months of testing are needed before Ethereum 2.0 can launch, with November 4 considered the earliest date. The team has adopted VeChain (VET) ToolChain for the pilot which seeks to foster trust and transparency in the supply chains of Italian agricultural products and boost consumer confidence by making it possible for consumers to view the entire history of the purchased farm product. India Leads In P2P Bitcoin Trading Volume

Bitcoin peer-to-peer (P2P) trading has hit new all-time highs in 6 countries this week. P2P trading is a method of trading that involves the individuals buying and selling BTC without the need for a third party such as an exchange. This has become more popular over time as stricter measures are being put in place by countries. Philippines Will Distribute Government Bonds Via Blockchain

Philippine Bureau of the Treasury along with the UnionBank and Philippine Digital Asset Exchange launched a blockchain-enabled mobile application for distributing government-issued treasury bonds. The launch of Bonds.PH paves the way for all Filipinos, particularly the unbanked, to easily and affordably invest in the BTr’s newest retail treasury bond, RTB-24. Researcher Estimated That Bitcoin Creator Mined 1,125,150 BTC

The blockchain trackers and researchers from Whale Alert published a new research report about the infamous fortune allegedly owned by Satoshi Nakamoto. Researchers estimate that Bitcoin’s creator Satoshi possibly mined coins up to block 54,316, capturing 1,125,150 BTC or $10.5 billion using today’s exchange rates. Whale Alert wrote that in addition to the size of Satoshi fortune, they were also able to deduce the purpose of the Patoshi miner: to defend the young network from attacks. Read Full on medium.

Thailand’s SEC Has Issued A Digital Assets Exchange License To ERX

Thailand’s Securities Exchange Commission (SEC) has issued a Digital Assets Exchange License to ERX, a trading platform launched by asset digitization firm Elevated Returns (ER). ERX is one of six crypto exchanges to receive the license from the Thai SEC since it began regulating the space in 2018. While other licenced crypto exchanges in the country primarily trade cryptocurrencies, ERX only offers tokenized digital assets for exchange. Chinese Supreme Court Supporting Cryptocurrency Property Rights

China’s Supreme Court has called to strengthen property laws pertaining to crypto, network virtual property and data. The official court opinion aims to promote the upgrading of a modern property rights system with clear ownership. The document stated the intention to strike against the use of public power, illegal seizure and freezing private enterprise assets to violate private property rights. Samsung Blockchain Wallet Adds Decentraland To Accelerate The NFT Space

As per official announcement, Samsung, who’s attempting to further the adoption of blockchain technology, has involved the popular project Decentraland as its largest game and Non-Fungible Token (NFT) project. As per announcement, the Decentraland Marketplace is already added to the Samsung Blockchain Wallet, and it’s available on Samsung smartphones.
