Litecoin's MimbleWimble Is On Track For Testnet Launch

Development on Litecoin’s upcoming privacy implementation, MimbleWimble, continues to be smooth and faces no potential delays ahead of a testnet launch later this month, the Litecoin Foundation confirmed in a release. Privacy is not the only benefit of MimbleWimble. As project lead David Burkett stated in an update in August, the team was even building a new syncing process that would bring faster transactions on the Litecoin network — courtesy of an innovative block processing model. US Congress To Study Use of Blockchain Technology In Commerce

The US Congress is now considering a bill that seeks to direct the government to study the use of blockchain technology in commerce. US Representative Darren Soto introduced the bill, H.R.8153, to the House on September 1st. Congress.gov sheds light on what H.R.8153 aims to accomplish. To direct the Secretary of Commerce, in consultation with the Federal Trade Commission, to conduct a study and submit to Congress a report on the state of the blockchain technology and use in consumer protection, and for other purposes. Brendan Blumer Believes EOS Will Unleash DeFi

Block.one CEO Brendan Blumer says EOS is the most suitable blockchain for the decentralized finance (DeFi) market as users experience slow and costly transactions on Ethereum. Blumer points out that EOS has the solutions to issues that are currently hounding the protocol underpinning most DeFi protocols. The Block.one head told "EOS will unleash DeFi... Binance Unveiled Launchpool Platform, A Secure Way To Farm New Assets

World's largest crypto exchange Binance unveiled the Launchpool platform. Launchpool platform will allow users to have securely farm new assets as well as users will get new token rewards in return for staking BNB, BUSD, and other tokens. The first project in Launchpool is the Bella protocol, where users will be able to stake their BNB, BUSD, or ARPA tokens into three separate pools to farm BEL tokens over 30 days, starting from 2020/09/09 00:00 AM (UTC). Starling Bank Co-Founder’s App Added P2P Support For Crypto

U.K. challenger bank Ziglu has added peer-to-peer (P2P) support for cryptocurrencies well as pound sterling, a week after receiving an Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from a U.K. regulator. Ziglu app users can send crypto to other people, as well as buy and sell crypto. But its users can’t send their crypto to regular crypto wallets, only to other Ziglu customers. Ziglu currently supports Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin cash, with XRP due to be added later this month. The platform says it will list other digital assets based on customer demand.
