AS one of only two English members of the Channel Nine commentary team, Kevin Pietersen is an easy target.
But he put a bullseye on himself by wheeling out a pair of eye-catching shoes for day one at the Gabba.
Dressed in a tight-fitting dark suit with a white shirt, Pietersen either forgot his shoes — or was really trying to up the fashion stakes — with a pair of light tan desert boots.
They didn’t go unnoticed as he previewed the action on the ground. New Zealand cricketer Jimmy Neesham polled his Twitter followers about whether Pietersen had made a worse start to an Ashes series than Steve Harmison — who famously sent down an extra wide wide with the first ball in Brisbane in 2006.
But Neesham wasn’t the only one to take exception to KP’s choice of footwear.
