As per various media reports a 7.7 magnitude earthquake has hit chile. according to PTWC the earthquake had a depth of 15 kilometers or 9 miles.
The US based Pacific Tsunami Warning Center has issued tsunami warnings for all areas within 1000 km of epicenter of Chilean quake.

Chile has a long history of deadly quakes, including a 8.8 magnitude quake in 2010 off the south-central coast, which also triggered a tsunami that devastated coastal towns.

We live about 150 km from the epicenter and it simply felt like being on a boat. Lasted about 45 seconds. No damage at our place, none at all.
