Hi Steemit-Community, did you already noticed that there is a new "Promote-Button" under published articles too? I noticed it under my new Berlin City article here, where I saw the button for the first time:

Promoted Articles will be displayed in the categorie "promoted" and then in the corresponding categorie of the article. For example: https://steemit.com/promoted/news
It is possible to promote articles from other members too, so you can become a share holder and receive dividends of the final payout. I think as more you pay for the promotion, as higher the article will rank in the search.

Es ist auch möglich Artikel von anderen Mitgliedern zu bewerben, womit man ein Anteilshaber werden kann und eine Dividende von der Auszahlung für den Artikel bekommt. Ein beworbener Artikel wird so lange in der "Promoted" Kategorie angezeigt, bis er ausgezahlt wurde und ich denke mal je mehr man für eine Werbung zahlt, desto höher rankt der Artikel in der Suche.

You don´t have it under your latest article? Maybe you just have to clear your browser cache, or change to another browser. The button is brandnew, so this is maybe the reason and you can see it then.

it's popping in and out here for the last 30 minutes.
Anyway, the "promotion" button seems to be a possibility to effectively burn Steem Dollar to promote postings in the new promoted tab:
I'm not sure if this will be a working model, at least I don't see me looking at those advertisements.
