Many of the usual contract recipients showed up yesterday, including Raytheon (3 contracts), Boeing (2 contracts), and Lockheed Martin (3 contracts) but the big winner was United Technologies with a $2.4 billion modification on an earlier contract for consumable parts. This modification doubles the face value of the contract to $4.9 billion.
One company receiving a $25 million contract yesterday is R8I Cabrera Remediation & Construction located in the tiny town of Elizabeth, Colorado. R8I Cabrera was formed in May of this year and is listed as employing only 1 to 5 employees, with a sales range of under $500,000. This $25 million should come in handy.
