At least seven people, including children, were injured in a shootout on Thursday evening in Syracuse, New York, the emergency services said.
According to the local fire brigade, the shooting took place on the main street of Midland Avenue around 21 local time (3 am on Friday, Polish time).
The police confirmed that at the scene of the incident she found people with gunshot wounds, but refused to give the number of wounded or their condition.
On the Syracuse.com website, information appeared that the shooting took place during a family meeting dedicated to the memory of a person who had previously died of cancer. At least 10 shots were given.
Witnesses saw ambulances leaving the scene of police escort.
Syracuse is located approx. 400 km northwest of New York.
