things like UBI kind of frighten me because they are in many ways predicated on the notion that the current income figures will remain the same even once said system is implemented. I would imagine that a lot of lazy people would just decide to not work if this happened, and then the starting figure would not be the same because there would be nothing to tax.

I think it was Margaret Thatcher that said "the problem with Socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money" :)

I'm more of a fan of the Ideas by The Venus Project, but UBI is maybe a bit more realistic. The only thing I know for sure is technological unemployment is going to change our economy in a big way, change in to what I don't know. By the way thanks for the upvotes and for fallowing me!!
