Pakistan getting fewer matches than Afghanistan and Ireland

in news •  7 years ago

From May 2015 to May 2023, the ICC has proposed only 28 Test matches for the FTP on the proposed FTP list. Pakistan and New Zealand have received the least number of matches between the established Test teams. More surprising is that in the last four years, the team that won the shortest one-day match was Pakistan (38 matches). Afghanistan, Zimbabwe or Ireland will play more ODI matches than Pakistan in these four years.

Although the new cricket schedule is not final, the initial idea was found. It is seen that Pakistan will play just 38 one-day internationals from 2019-2023. At this time, 50 overs will be played in Afghanistan, 41, Zimbabwe 40 and Ireland 42. That is, in these four years, Pakistan will play one of the lowest ODIs. West Indies will play maximum 62 matches and then India (61 matches).

Pakistan has been getting the least number of matches with Australia in the T20 edition of this four-year-old cricket team. Australia and Pakistan have received 38 similar matches. Ireland will also play 42 T20 matches at this time. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman Najam Sethi has found that the number of match-fixing matches in the upcoming FTP shows Pakistan's fierce state. His counter-argument, the PCB will only approve this schedule, due to the complexity of playing a bilateral series with India.

However, PCB's former chief executive Arif Ali Abbasi has expressed his anger directly to the ICC. His comment, 'The reason behind such behavior of ICC to the PCB, they have no proper infrastructure and necessary knowledge. They do not make the right decision at the right time. So challenging the decision of the ICC is meaningless. They will not do anything about this and the Indian board will not go against their government. "
According to Abbasi, the ICC has always worked against Pakistan's interest, 'They have been doing injustice to Pakistan long before. It is a matter of shame that in the last few years Pakistan have won the Champions Trophy in several formats, but they have won less matches than newer or weak countries.
