Intense traffic congestion from Sonargaon crossroads to Daudkandi Hassanpur

Dhaka-Chittagong highway has a huge traffic congestion of 22 kilometers. The traffic congestion is going on from Sonargaon Chaurasta to Daudkandi Hassanpur. The traffic congestion started from Friday morning. The traffic congestion in the Eid-ul-Fitr people has been intense.

At around 3:00 am, a truck carrying a speeding truck hit the truck in Bhabchar of Munshiganj under Ghazaria upazila. In this the movement of traffic is closed. After about two hours, the Ghazaria Highway police removed the accidental truck. The traffic jam was blocked due to two hours of traffic movement.

Officer-in-Charge of Daudkandi Highway Police Station OC Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the incident. He said the Highway Police is trying hard to solve traffic congestion.

Tania Ferdous, Officer-in-Charge of the Food Complex of Titas Upazila, said that he was trapped in the traffic jam at Narayanganj Chowrasta on the bus from Sayedabad in Dhaka on 5 o'clock in the morning. He took four hours to cross the 20-kilometer route to the Daudkandi Meghna-Gomti Bridge area.

Officer-in-Charge of Daudkandi Upazila Health Complex Monir Hossain said that he took five hours to travel from Dhaka to Dhaka for a one-hour walk.

It is found that traffic congestion in both Dhaka and Chittagong is intense. Among them, 22 kilometers of Dhaka and 20 kilometers of Chittagong-bound traffic congestion. There are traffic congestion from Sonargaon to Gomti Bridge and from Daukkandi Hassanpur to Sonargaon Chaurasta.

Until Thursday noon, there were about 50 kilometer traffic congestion from Mathaiya to Sonargaon Chaurasta in Chandina upazila of Comilla. But at night it came down to five kilometers. But today the traffic congestion has started from three in the night.

The passengers and drivers of the vehicle are being victimized due to halt in the hour-long traffic jams.

On 5 o'clock in the morning, a highway collided head-on with a lorry and Chittagong-bound cover van on the Meghna-Gomti Bridge of Daudkandi upazila of Comilla. Lorry driver died in this. Since then, traffic congestion is created.

Apart from this, the traffic week ended on Tuesday due to erratic traffic movement. On the same day, demand for salary and bonus before Eid, traffic congestion was severe due to the blockade of three-hour highway in Sonargaon, due to the shutdown of the flyover in Feni.

OC Abul Kalam Azad said there were traffic congestions on the highway since Tuesday due to some reasons. In front of the Eid, traffic congestion was created due to excessive transport of goods from Chittagong Port. The Highway Police has been working properly to resolve traffic congestion.
