Anna Sorokin, the scandalous scammer who inspired the Netflix series detailing her fraudulent activities, explores a new riot – NFT.
The NFT exclusive collection is an attempt to distance itself from the "role of con artists," a decision made after Sorokin became known for his crimes, which ranged from stealing businesses and friends while impersonating a German heir. Sorokin announced the collection in an interview that aired for the first time on NBC News NOW.
A total of 10 NFTS will be offered to the public under the name "Reinventing Anna", referring to the Netflix title.
Russian-born Sorokin, better known by the alias Anna Delvi, rose to prominence after gaining popularity in Manhattan's elite social scene. Her status as an earthly lioness who pretentiously sits in an imaginary $60 million trust fund gives her a platform to persuade the wealthy to invest in her arts foundation and social club.
Sorokin was convicted of eight crimes, including grand theft and robbery, and spent nearly four years behind bars. He lives at the US Immigration Detention Center where he faces possible deportation.
