Robot guard K5 of the American company Knightscope, which is called to patrol the territory and report the violations found, fell into a fountain in the Washington Harbour office center of the American capital. Curiosities were shared by office workers in social networks.
Knightscope K5 is a patrol robot that is designed to watch "parking lots, corporate campuses and hospitals". He uses a set of video cameras from which to broadcast live video, and a software definition of anomalies, to inform security companies or police about incidents. The description on the company's website says that the K5 can be guided "even in the most complex spaces."
The Washington Harbor K5 worked only a few days, one of the employees of the office center told the Washington Post. He performed his standard patrol when he probably did not "see" the steps and was in the water.
In the company, the developer was informed that an incident was already underway. Knightscope called the event "an isolated case" and promised to deliver a new robot to the office center free of charge. Proceeding from this - the injured "bathing" did not survive. Although his official fate remains unknown.
