The "Golden Village" program is being implemented by the National Committee on Economy and Industry of Indonesia. This program,initiated by President Joko Widodo, is aimed at the development of Indonesia by means of the life improvement in villages and towns. There are 2000 Indonesian towns in the Program list. The company "Skyway Technologies Indonesia" has signed a Memorandum of Understanding in the settlement of Dasun, the district of Rembang, one of the golden towns. The company will support the program of the Government of Indonesia on the development of transport communications. "SkyWay Technologies Indonesia" is the only partner in transport and infrastructure technologies in this program.
Skyway has previously signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Indonesia, planning to build a transport infrastructure on the campus.
"Skyway Technologies Indonesia" is a full-fledged subsidiary of "Global Transport Investments, Inc.", which carries out the main activity as a legal entity in preparation for the introduction of the SkyWay technologies in Indonesia. It is also the sister company of "SkyWay Technologies Co.", the engineering company from the Republic of Belarus, which generates a wide range of transport solutions for urban, freight and high-speed transport, as well as transportation between ports, settlements and islands. The mission of the company is to provide an optimal transport solution for Indonesia, which will allow to radically reduce energy and transportation costs, the time required for traditional transportation of people and goods, will increase the affordability of transport and lower the cost price of goods and services, and reduce the time for travel in the completely different comfortable conditions and at completely different speeds.
SkyWay is the overground transport system of the overpass type, in which the movement of vehicles is organized by means of suspended, prestressed by tension, unsplit string rails, stretched between the supports. A string rail is characterized by high strength, rigidity, evenness, manufacturability and ease of assembly, low material consumption and wide range of working temperatures. The special electromobiles vehicles on steel wheels are used in SkyWay systems as transport means.
In preparation for the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding, the representatives of "SkyWay Technologies Indonesia" visited four nominated gold towns:
the town of Dasun, known for its river tourism, cultural and historical tourism, and the production of fisheries;
the town of Karasgede, famous for its agriculture and bioenergy;
the town of Sumber Rejo, known for its production of sapot and teak wood products, as well as growing sugar cane;
Karimunjawa, famous for tourism, fishing and wood products from the town of Dewa Ndaru.
The company "SkyWay Technologies Indonesia" also began preliminary meetings with the construction firm "Bukaka Teknika Utama" for the preparation and implementation of the SkyWay tracks.
