Mohammad Amir has announced his retirement from Test cricket but will continue to play one-day and Twenty-20 cricket for Pakistan.

Mohammad Amir says the decision to quit Test cricket was not easy, but it was an honor for me to represent Pakistan in the traditional cricket format. He added that he will try to maintain his form and fitness level to attend the upcoming matches and the ICC World T20 which will be played in 2020.

MD PCB Wasim Khan says Mohammad Amir is one of the best test cricket bowlers in the world and the National Test cricket team will miss Mohammad Amir in ground and dressing room.

Mohammad Amir started his Test career in the Galle Test against Sri Lanka in July 2009. He played 36 Test matches for the national cricket team and took 119 wickets.
