The media has given extensive coverage to the foray into self driving cars by the likes of Google and Apple.
Very little, however, has been said about the attempt to develop self driving trucks.
PACCAR - a major American truck manufacturer - is using Nvidia's A.I. technology to conduct research into self driving trucks.
The NVIDIA DRIVE PX is developed by Nvidia for car and truck manufacturers that wish to develop self driving vehicles.
According to Carl Hergart, the Director for Advanced Technology at PACCAR: “What we’re looking to do is absolutely not replace the driver, but to make a tough job easier."
