Regarding resignation of Halsel, BCB chief executive said, "Richard has officially submitted his resignation because of his father's illness. The board has resigned in honor of him.
Former head coach Chandika Hathrusingh's Assistant's departure was confirmed by Halsel's resignation. Halslow was promoted to assistant coach from Fielding Coach at Hathurusingh. He went on holiday after the T20 series against Sri Lanka at home. Haldas was not with the Bangladesh team in the Nidhas Trophy.
