The world record for ceramics with the highest price sold, was broken after a rare bowl of washing brush in Hong Kong sold for 37.7 million dollars or about Rp 500 billion. Bidding on the bowl itself is opened from Rp 130 billion.

900-year-old ceramic was originally predicted to be sold at a price of Rp 170 billion. But after 30 tough offerings among buyers, the antique bowl was sold at Rp 500 billion to buyers who offer it by phone.

Reporting from the South China Morning Post, the brushwashing bowl is thought to have come from the imperial palace of the Song Dynasty. The price broke the highest recorded record of the previous ceramic, the Ming ceramic cup that sold for Rp 480 billion.
