The federal government withdrew its Supreme Court appeal on Wednesday against the Lahore High Court's (LHC) May 7 judgement allowing PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif to travel overseas for medical treatment.
Pakistan's Attorney General, Khalid Jawed Khan, notified the court that the government was abandoning its appeal because Shehbaz had decided to dismiss his high court cases against the government.
The petition was later dismissed by the Supreme Court.
