Russia warns global "chaos" if they go back to attack Syria

USA and allies evaluate more bombings if Asad uses chemical weapons.

United States and its allies France and the United Kingdom will evaluate new bombings with missiles to Syria if the regime of Bashar al Asad returns to use chemical weapons, announced Sunday the British Foreign Minister, Boris Johnson, amid warnings from Russia that More attacks would lead to "chaos" to international diplomacy.

"There is no proposal on the table at this time for new attacks because so far, thank God, the Assad regime has not been foolish enough to launch another chemical weapons attack," Johnson told the BBC.

"If it happened, then it is clear that, together with the allies, we would study what the options are," he added, echoing comments from the United States ambassador to the UN, Nikki Haley, who said that President Donald Trump told him that "It's totally ready" in case Syria goes back to using chemical weapons.

Chaos
When asked about US-Russian relations, Ambassador Haley said the ties were "very tense."
And yesterday, Russian President Vladimir Putin agreed with him. Putin said more attacks by the Western allies against Syria would lead to "chaos" in international affairs.

Putin made the remarks in a telephone conversation with his Iranian counterpart Hassan Rouhani. "Vladimir Putin, in particular, emphasized that if such actions continue in violation of the UN Charter, this will inevitably lead to chaos in international relations," the Russian news agency RIA said, citing a statement from the Kremlin.

Putin's statements were published shortly after Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov released a more conciliatory note stating that Moscow would make every effort to improve its relations with the West.

When asked if Russia was prepared to work with proposals from Western countries at the UN, Ryabkov told the TASS news agency that for now the situation was "extremely tense" and that it would work "calmly and methodically" to overcome tensions.

Sanctions to Russia.
In this climate of tension, the United States will announce on Monday new sanctions against Russia in relation to the alleged use of chemical weapons by troops of the Syrian government, supported politically and militarily by the Putin government.

The United States has already taken various punitive measures against Russia's "misbehavior" in a number of cases, Haley told Fox News yesterday, recalling the ouster of 60 diplomats identified as "Russian spies" in response to the attack with an agent. neurotoxic in the United Kingdom against a former Russian spy and the recent sanctions against "oligarchs" close to the Kremlin.

Haley warned that there will be new sanctions and that they will be released on Monday.

In another program, Face The Nation of the CBS television network, Haley was asked if Trump would take more measures against the support of Syrian President Asad by Russia and Iran, and replied: "Absolutely."

"They will see that Russian sanctions will come," he warned.

US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin will "announce them on Monday [...] and will directly target all kinds of companies dealing with equipment linked to Asad and the use of chemical weapons" in Syria, he added.
