Paycent - SEA’s Upcoming Crypto Giant: WHY Philippines? (#3)

in news •  7 years ago  (edited)

The Philippines have a long history on cashless mobile payment ecosystem. From Smart Money, which is the world’s first e-wallet linked to a mobile phone, to Coins.ph, which is Southeast Asia’s leading mobile blockchain-enabled platform for financial/payment services.
Because of this long history, people are now not afraid and willing to use this kind of services which also the same for the case with the merchants/billers and even banks. As a proof of this, BTC Sessions have reviewed coins.ph about 10 months ago and from the video, you could see the abundant number of available merchants/billers and also different deposit and withdrawal options.

Philippines also have a large number of Overseas Workers, more than 2.6 million, who are sending remittances back to their families on the Philippines every week or so which is very time consuming and paying expensive fees for every transaction.

This is the reason of Paycent to have their primary operations to be done on the Philippines. People are willing to use their product and companies will won’t hesitate to be a part of the product. But of course Paycent must be legal and have the rights to operate to be legible. Everything will go on smoothly if this is to be done properly because as I have said earlier, companies are willing to be part of a product that people are willing to use and Paycent has that product which comes with more benefits compared to other cashless payment systems.

This is an ongoing series of articles that focuses on paycent, a payment method that utilizes the blockchain technology, and the things that it has to offer that lines with its slogan “Bridging the gap between cryptocurrency and fiat”.
